What is the best time of year to visit Cartagena?
Cartagena enjoys a warm Caribbean climate year-round, but the driest and most luminous months run from December through April — ideal for exploring the Walled City on foot, sailing to Barú Island, or dining al fresco in our inner courtyard.
High season coincides with international holidays, so we recommend reserving well in advance.
Our concierge team is happy to advise on the perfect timing for your particular interests, whether you seek vibrant festivals, quieter streets, or the best sea conditions for island excursions.
What experiences and activities can the concierge arrange?
Our concierge team can curate a wide range of experiences tailored to your desires — from private guided walking tours of the Walled City and rum or coffee tastings, to Colombian cooking classes, sunset boat excursions to the Rosario Islands, and exclusive access to Acasí, our private beach on Barú Island.
Spa sessions at Aurum Spa (our sister property, Casa San Agustín), cultural visits to Fort San Felipe, and transfers across the region can all be arranged.

Absolutely. Families are warmly welcome at Casa Pestagua.
Extra beds can be arranged in Junior Suites and larger room categories, and children under 12 benefit from special rates. Is breakfast included, and what dining options are available?
A complimentary American breakfast is served exclusively for hotel guests each morning from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
Throughout the day, our restaurant AniMare welcomes both guests and outside diners with an inspired menu rooted in the ancestral gastronomy of Colombia’s Caribbean and Pacific coasts, crafted by our executive chef.
Lunch and dinner are served from noon until 11:00 pm.
In-room dining is also available daily from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm for guests who prefer privacy, and our AniMare Bar is the perfect setting for cocktails and light bites in the evenings.
What is your cancellation and reservation policy?
Our standard cancellation terms allow modifications or cancellations up to 72 hours prior to arrival without charge.
Reservations made during peak season or for special events may be subject to different conditions, which will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
